Suggestion: Option to Lock Rotation on Tablet

Palia Mapsecond screen mode peer linked to a tablet: the map is rotatable which I strongly don't feel is necessary since you cannot rotate the map in the game itself. Its extra but not really applicable or helpful. I am aware an option to reset the compass exists, however an option to lock the maps orientation would be SUPERB--and if this already exists, someone please let me know!

winderine5/9/2026Hello! I cannot recreate this. Are you sure that you are not tilting the tablet and causing the whole browser to rotate?

winderine5/9/2026I really cannot replicate this on my Samsung Tab S7. Does it continue to spin if you reset tilt and direction by pressing the home button?
elsia.elsia5/9/2026I'm using an ipad. Reset tilt only resets the compass,... so sure it corrects the orientation until i need to zoom in again on a node, etc then oops, accidental rotation. I'm wondering if this is an apple issue. Point is, if compass exists to correct orientation, why cant there be an option to lock orientation.
winderine5/9/2026The home button is outside of this menu, on the far right end of the bar. If the problem only exists when you are zooming, is it because you are twisting your fingers, and if so would tapping the plus or minus icons to zoom in and out work better?
elsia.elsia5/9/2026The home button has saved me a few times when the interface didnt play nice and somehow i rotated the whole map off the tablet screen 🤣 And yes, the problem only exists because im mildly twisting my fingers as i pinch zoom. Sometimes in palia u gotta be fast and trying to navigate my computer keys while one handing the tablet for the maps display loses finesse.

ren88535/10/2026I would like to +1 this suggestion - Ctrl + scroll on PC rotates the map, and Ctrl is my push-to-talk key 😅 I never use the map rotation except by accident, which is inconvenient when I'm doing something time-sensitive like a bug hunt and have to pause and reset and then re-zoom my map view
mangogamr5/11/2026if anythign a toggle for auto rotate. so my character is always pointign up. similar to how some games have the built in map auto rotate as well
