Palia MapSee images for examples. Elderwood: Cave Piksiis spawn *only* in caves Bahari: Bahari Glowbug spawns *only* in southern Bahari (except the beach) Kilima: Duskwing butterfly spawns *only* in Maji's Hollow area This seems to be the case no matter which bugs filters are enabled, and is true both in the app and on the website, as well as when using search (as opposed to filters).

ren88533/18/2026Not that I've observed, at least (not like the fish). I do a lot of hunting of cave piksiis, specifically, and those don't show up outside of caves, ever. Normally they spawn from a staircase mushroom being picked, or a lure being placed near one of those spawn points. Staircase mushroom distribution (the area off to the right is the interior of the pirate cave, so, a cave):
devleon3/18/2026I started to re-tracking the spawn locations. In a few days, I will reset the locations again and hopefully have the false positives filtered out

ren88533/20/2026It's improved, but there are still persistent anomalies. There IS this occasional bug in the game where, after catching a bug, the loot bag will inexplicably appear somewhere random way across the map (and be unlootable, unfortunately). I wonder if the map is picking up this phenomenon, especially since the duskwing is being farmed very heavily right now (so more rolls of the dice on that bug happening)
