That sounds like it could be a headache. I mean all forage items with the exception of trees make some sort of noise already when you get close to them. And what if you've got multiple things showing on the map, it'd just be a string of beeps.

However, I recently learned you can go into the settings and change the size of individual items. So for rare forage items, I've made them quite larger so if I'm running around looking for dari cloves or heat root for instance, they pop up real good and easy to see.

So as I said, go into settings, then click on per filter icon sizes. Here's what I have for epic and rare infected forage.

Putting it on the map wouldnt set it up as an alert noise. I agree beeping on everything on the map would be a headache. It would be a different setting, or subsetting of putting it on the map to track. My use case is pretty simple: I am trying to complete master (x) achievements and have about 7 starred bugs I need to find to finish the achievement. I would set an alert for each of those only, and then when I am running around chopping infected trees, for example, if I happen to run close to one of the bugs I need, I would hear a beep. That being said, I also like you icon size idea and will use it for now. But I still think this would be valuable.
