.essen11/28/2025The THGL app. I turn my computer on, and it's no longer in the start menu. If I had it set to run at startup, I get a popup saying that the WebView2 (or whatever) is missing. I have to run the installer again every time.

devleon11/28/2025WebView2 should be installed by the app. Usually, it should already installed on your PC (it's used by Edge Browser and allows the app to display websites in a browser).

.essen11/28/2025Nope, I have Edge and Windows is vanilla. It would install WebView2 every time the app updates, then like I said, say it was missing on some start occasions. After a restart, the app is there and runs, but it's not being picked up by the search as a program. Only the file for the installer I have in my downloads. But I can make a shortcut and it works just fine.

winderine11/28/2025are you sure it's "Program Files" not "Program Files (x86)"? this was a recent change that broke my shortcuts. The problem with webview sounds different though, that might require fully uninstalling and reinstalling web view which is a bit more involved of a process than normal programs.
