Suggestions Issues

Good day, I was trying to set up the new world minimap with resource nodes and followed the FAQ instructions but no matter how hard I try I simply cant log into steam when opening aeternum-map.th.gl. I click on the "öog in with steam" button, put in my username and password or use the QR code and always get the error "something went wrong please try again later". Any idea how to solve that? Does it HAS to be steam I use to log in?
