Bug/Fish trackers: Visual Catchable Indicators

Palia Tracker

I got this idea from the display on paliapedia. It would be great to have some visual indicators when or how long a bug or fish is catchable, especially for those that have a certain time to spawn. Fe: - Displayed in red: "__**in (mm:ss)**__" for those that are NOT catchable yet. - Displayed in green: "__**(mm:ss) left**__" for those that are catchable NOW. These times should be life updated and be real--world-time based. That way people can plan ahead where to go to be in time for them to catch. The current info does not help much to plan these trips as much as this way would. πŸ˜‰ πŸ––πŸ½

Hi! there is actually a visible indicator if or when bugs/fish are catchable.. not in the minute/seconds but period wise. the bubbles on the top right of each box show that

the "big" bubble is always now

in combination with the in game clock on top of the page, you can easily see if you are near a next period πŸ™‚

I know, that's why i suggested the visual min/sec indicator, to make it easier. It's easier to see how many min/sec are left instead of correlating from two info sources and calculating in mind... Just look at paliapedia.com/now to see the diff in ease between the two sites...

yeah i know palia now (it's even linked on the page :D) i think it is a lot of duplicate info then, because it's the same for every fish/bug coming in the next period... would it help if i add info about what the in game time periods are? like morning 3:00AM-6:00AM and so on. so you can easily check what in game time it is and where you're currently. sure it's not exact minutes but if it is 5:00AM in game and you know that it is until 6:00AM, you know that you have 2.5 minutes? (every in game hour is 2.5 minutes and it is always the same). so once you know that: - 12:00 AM in game is real life full hour - 6:00 AM in game is real life 15min past the hour - 12:00 PM is real life 30min past the hour - 6:00 PM is real life 45min past the hour it's the same everytime (every in game hour :D) maybe it will help to show what morning, day, evening and night is - what do you think?

No because that info is already available at the wik: palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Time_Passage_in_Palia#Day_and_Night_Cycle The user of your page should not need to calculate in mind everytime it glimpses on the info between other stuff they are busy with. Duplicate info like the time as mentioned per fish is actually beneficial in this case... Keep in mind that people who play do so between stuff in real time and/or have your page open in background while playing the game but doing other stuff. So the more __exact__ and __to the point__ info you can provide without them needing to correlate stuff the better.

GG @Β©TriMoonβ„’, you just advanced to level 3!

PS: Keep in mind that i suggested these time displayed to be Real-World-Time based in contrast with paliapedia's display πŸ˜‰

Ok... do you have a suggestion where it would be helpful to add it? would it be helpful on the space left from the checkboxes?

_anniebananie_anniebananie7/21/2025

i get the feedback a lot, that i should add the time periods exact in game times πŸ˜„

Most logical and visual would be on the same border line as the icons you use now in the top of the fish's info box... Fe. see this screenshot:

thank you

_anniebananie_anniebananie7/21/2025

will take some time though. i'll see how easy it can be calculated with my current period calculation implementation. could be that it takes more time to calculate it correctly

Hmm re-considering, what you suggested "left of the check boxes" might be a good spot also... πŸ‘πŸ½

I have to admit that spot is actually better as what i proposed πŸ˜„

_anniebananie_anniebananie7/21/2025

I try out both and that should be easily changed if we find the other solution better πŸ˜„
