Crowdsourced Active Palia World ID Tracker

randyl2873|8/30/2026

Suggestion

With Palia now showing a World ID and World Age, I was wondering if you could use the information already being collected by the Palia Overwolf app to create a crowdsourced list of active worlds. The idea would be something like this: When a user enters a Palia world, the app could potentially record the current World ID and World Age along with the live information TH.GL is already able to detect. That information could then be anonymously shared with TH.GL’s backend and combined with reports from other users. For example: Active Worlds * AB7K — 42 minutes old — Grove detected recently * Q4PX — 27 minutes old — Flow Trees detected * K9RT — 9 minutes old — No recent events reported * M3XF — 51 minutes old — Grove + active resource reports Ideally, users could click a World ID and copy it directly so they could join that world in Palia. Right now, if someone wants to find a Grove, they generally have to rely on Discord/community callouts or jump between worlds hoping to find one. By the time a callout is seen, the Grove may already be gone or the world may be full. If users are already providing live data to the map, a crowdsourced World ID system could potentially turn that into a live world activity tracker. It could eventually show things such as: * World ID * World age * Recent Grove detection * Flow Tree activity * Palium/resource activity * Last time the world was reported * Potentially player count, if that information is accessible Even if you can’t initially determine all of that information, simply having a list of recently seen active World IDs would be useful. If the World ID is accessible to the Overwolf app, I think a community-sourced database of recently observed worlds could be a really interesting feature. It would essentially turn the existing TH.GL Palia player base into a network of live world reports. I’d definitely use this, particularly for finding active Groves.

Are these codes user-specific? so it should be opt-in ?

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

Definitely opt-in, for many reasons

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

(Can outline scenarios if that would be helpful)

devleondevleon9/1/2026

Do you know if codes are user specific?

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

I don't without testing it (easily done later today) I'm not sure what the alternative would be - server specific? like if you share the code and then leave the server, other people using the code would join the server you were on, not wherever you are now?

devleondevleon9/1/2026

I did some tests. my idea is that server ids and events are automatically tracked and listed. everyone can request the invite code on web and app. the app users will receive a notification that there is a request. they only have to open the in-game menu to show it. it will automatically read and shared (updated in the worlds list). the more users reached, the faster will a code be generated

It's available in preview release right now palia.th.gl/worlds still working on it

I would have to see this in action to be sure, but I could see this causing problems for certain player-hosted events in overworld zones. 🤔 All it would take to have a bunch of random people (or trolls) piling into the server would be one map user on the server clicking "yes, share code" without thinking.

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

although this would also be great for things like hunting for platinum or dari cloves, potentially

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

or for certain furnishings in the Underground 🤔 though the map doesn't track those currently ofc

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

However, I suppose the fact that using the server code costs either the teleport cooldown or a teleport potion may limit its utility for rapid server hopping, hm

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

I'm more worried about the potential for server "raids" for example

ren8853ren88539/1/2026

...this IS fascinating, though, just from a "how it all works" perspective

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

Question: if you have the "someone wants to join" prompts turned off and someone makes a request for your server, and you (for any other reason) open the code panel, does it still share the code? Alternatively, is there a way to add an additional "yes, I will share" interaction when there is a prompt? Players hosting parties need to open the code panel frequently, but probably don't want to share their server code with the whole internet if someone happens to request it.

devleondevleon9/2/2026

I'll check. Opt-Out will make sure, it's never shared. I am wondering if this is really an issue? You wouldn't know who the join codes belong to?

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

It's less about privacy for an individual player and more about practicalities. Certain parties involve preparing a server with certain resources. For example, the current meta for getting the Muujimothy plush is to run it up flow trees. This involves a time-consuming process of cutting down regular trees repeatedly until they spawn as flow trees, and then leaving them unchopped (as tools for upgrading the Muujimothy creature's tier). A server where this is happening will look like it has an absolutely silly number of flow trees "for no reason". If the code gets shared by accident, then suddenly you have random players showing up trying to chop your flow trees without knowing why there are so many on that server — or, worse, doing it on purpose to mess with party hosts (even if they don't know each other).

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

Now, it's always possible for players to randomly get assigned to a server and do the same thing, but that's random, not a list on a website where it shows the flow trees on the map before you arrive.

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

I dunno, perhaps I'm being paranoid about nothing? I just see the potential for drama/misunderstandings. Maybe the paid private servers will make the whole concern obsolete :P For those with money, anyway

devleondevleon9/2/2026

people are sharing their codes right now or? so they are organized and you will have these parties joining the same server.

devleondevleon9/2/2026

the website makes it easier to find these servers, but you would still need to code. I think it makes it easier for people who are not that connected to others (or organized in bigger parties) to find good servers

devleondevleon9/2/2026

but I might be wrong - so let's see how it goes. I am not sure right now if people are really requesting and sharing the codes

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

Yes, let's see how it goes

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

In the meanwhile, it would be nice to be able to filter the list by zone and sort by server age :D

I host parties frequently in Palia. I’m always trying to find a low age server to start a party. I partly think oh this is great I could find low age servers more easily. But practically ppl may not appreciate my joining their server and then inviting 20 of my friends to have a party on that same server. Right now, I just keep experimenting syncing to a friend and checking.

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

My strat with this so far has been to log in and out with a "friendless" alt. He doesn't get sucked into the friend group gravity wells that keep giving us older servers

ren8853ren88539/2/2026

I always ask in server chat before dragging a large party into the server though

luluworld9luluworld99/2/2026

I do the same thing. Always. It’s frustrating when ppl don’t do that. The friendless alt is a good idea!

noladonutnoladonut9/3/2026

where are the settings for this feature? how do we opt-in to share world/receive prompts?

devleondevleon9/3/2026

It's Opt-Out. You would receive a message if someone request it

Attachment from devleon
devleondevleon9/3/2026

you can test it by requesting your own server from the web

I seem to be missing something on both of those screens. Here's what I see:

I wish you could design my outfit 😍

noladonutnoladonut9/4/2026

This was a fluke, istg. It’s not my strong suit usually. But even a broken clock is right twice a day and once I made this I have stuck to it lololol

miriahmazemiriahmaze9/4/2026

I would too! It is just WOW!!

miriahmazemiriahmaze9/4/2026

I had to take a screenshot. 🥰

devleondevleon9/4/2026

You are right. The Overwolf app didn't have this yet, only the THGL app. Please try again. By the way, the THGL app is recommended

noladonutnoladonut9/4/2026

I didn’t even know there was any option besides the OW app. I will delve further! Thank you!
